Antique Persian Rug by the Khamseh Tribe with All Over Boteh Design, Late 19th Century.

Size: 9ft 0in x 5ft 10in (274 x 178cm).

Antique South Persian Khamseh tribal rug of all over boteh design.

Circa 1890.

A rug of superb colour and design with very soft glossy wool. The rug has a wonderful border with large colourful boteh design.

Good condition with slight even wear, good pile. There are a few spots of slightly heavier wear and corrosion as can be seen in the images. Both ends retain some of the original stripped kilim end finish.

Very soft wool and fine weave, hand washed and ready for use. Suitable for light domestic use.
