Cotswold Oriental Rugs has dated this piece to the 1920s.
An interesting old village rug from the Greater Hamadan Region, woven by Kurdish weavers .
Circa 1900/20.
The medallions are most unusual as they are of the Turkmen turreted gul design. (may be this is a wedding rug for a marriage between a Turkmen and a Kurdish person).

The rug has a well-drawn repeat shrub design which contrasts well with the dark indigo blue field colour.
The rug is in good condition with very slight wear and good pile. The rug is suitable for normal domestic use.
The rug has been hand washed and is ready for use or display.
