Size: 4ft 11in x 3ft 11in (150 x 120cm).
Old Afghan village rug of traditional Tekke Turkmen design with a scarce ivory ground.
Circa 1920.
So called white Turkmen rugs are very scarce, although this is a later weaving it is still unusual to find. This version has three rows of 7 Tekke guls.
The rug is in fair condition with some wear and medium pile. There are a few old repairs and damage, the face of the rug is sun faded and the side bindings are partially missing.... this is all reflected in the price; we would be happy to quote for repair.
The rug is suitable for normal domestic use.
