Description

Size: 6ft 9in x 4ft 11in (206 x 150cm).

Old Afghan village rug of Ersari Turkmen ensi design.

Circa 1920.

The rug has excellent deep rich reddish brown colour to the central panels and a softer palette to the border and elem.

The rug is in excellent condition with slight wear and good pile. The wool is excellent and very soft, the rug is slightly miss-shaped with the right hand side being longer than the left.

The rug is suitable for heavy domestic use.

The rug has been hand washed and is ready for use or display.
