Description

Size: 1ft 8in x 1ft 4in (50 x 40cm).

Old Afghan Baluch saddle bag with plain weave back. Western Afghanistan.

Circa 1900.

The saddle bag face has a rich aubergine colour, the orange border contrasts well with this. The light indigo blue is very pleasing.

The saddle bag is in fair condition with some heavy wear and medium / low pile. The bag still has its original plain weave back.

The bag could easily be filled and used as a cushion.
