Size: 3ft 10in x 1ft 4in (116 x 41cm).

Antique Tekke Turkmen 6 gul Torba with superb colour, this example is of the classic format for this design, similar to examples that are published in most Turkmen books. The drawing of both the major and minor guls is of an early form.

Circa 1850 or earlier.

This example has fully saturated dyes with depth of colour.

The weave is very fine and the torba has a velvet handle.

The torba is in original condition with very slight even wear and full pile, there are a some spots of old moth damage. There are slight losses to the corners as can be seen.
