Antique Lavar Kirman Carpet 19th Century Room Size

Description

This is a finely woven Lavar Kirman carpet which dates from the 19th century. The carpet has a wonderful design with a fantastic colourful central medallion which appears almost organic in its form. There are deep borders made of of many polychrome narrow floral borders. The carpet has a subtle colour palette which is easy on the eye with a warm deep red and soft ivory sand being the main shades. Kirman carpets are very prized but Lavar Kirmans even more so due to the fineness and quality of their weave. It is in excellent condition with just light allover wear and is clean and ready to use. The carpet is a great size for most rooms measuring 370 cms by 237 cms.

Rams Head Antiques is a family business based in Wolsingham in Weardale where we have had shop premises for 28 years. The shop is generally open every Saturday from 11 am till 3 pm.
