Size: 5ft 9in x 3ft 7in (175 x 110cm)

Antique Caucasian Kazak rug with linked medallion design.

Late 19th century

A superb Kazak rug with a single linked medallion in two clear shades of indigo blue. The medallion is floating on a field of abrashed madder red. The border arrangement is very attractive with a yellow inner guard.

Typical Kazak weave with red wefts and long glossy pile. Note the original end finishes at both ends.

Great original condition, slight even wear with good pile. Suitable for normal domestic use.

Hand washed and ready for use or display.
