Antique Timuri Baluch main carpet with classic Afghan Timuri design.

Circa 1900.

A good small size main carpet with pleasing colour, the border design is typical of Timuri weaving. The carpet retains the original kilims at both ends decorated with a band of weft work.

The colours include indigo blues and soft madder reds.

Slight even wear with medium pile, some heavy corrosion to the browns.

Hand washed and ready for use or display. The carpet is suitable for normal domestic use.
