A good silk rug, with soft colours and fine floral design. typically found in Mahal rugs.

Circa 1920..

The rug has an ivory field decorated with a large scale design typical of the Mahal region. The rug has soft pastel colours and a very light indigo blue border.

The rug is in outstanding condition with no wear and full pile. Both ends retain their original finishes. The rug is heavy with a dense weave.

Silk pile on a fine cotton foundation.

The rug has been hand washed and is ready for use or display. The rug is suitable for normal domestic use.
