Size: 6ft 8in x 4ft 2in (203 x 127cm).

Old rug from the Greater Hamadan region of North West Persia, probably from the village of Khanabad, with an all over Herati design.

Circa 1920.

Rugs from this particular village are considered to be scarce, the ivory ground border design is unique to this village, the rugs normally have a well drawn herati design.

The colours throughout the rug are clear and soft with wonderful blues and soft pinks / reds.

The rug is in excellent condition with slight even wear and good pile. This wool is excellent and soft to the touch.

The rug is suitable for normal domestic use.

The rug has been hand washed and is ready for use.
