Good Pure Wool Antique Kamseh Rug Carpet Persian

Description

This is a beautiful antique Kamseh rug of unusual design, dating from the early 20th century. The rug, from south-west Persia has both stylised flowers, plants and animals within its design and has an attractive colour palette of indigo blue, ivory and a warm chestnut red field. It has central lozenge shaped medallions and is framed by an intricately patterned border. This is pure wool woven on wool so has a lovely soft feel and is in excellent condition. The carpet is a nice practical size and measures 212 cms by 130 cms.
