Antique Caucasian Kuba rug from the village of Karagashli.

Circa 1890.

The rug is a very well-drawn example of this classic Caucasian design. The deep indigo field with palmettes, dragons, snow flakes and animals. The border design is typical for rugs from this region.

The rug is in excellent condition with very slight wear and full pile. The rug is of very fine weave and has superb soft glossy wool.

The rug is suitable for normal domestic use.

The rug has been hand washed and is ready for use or display.
