Size: 6ft 2in x 5ft 4in (187 x 163cm).

A good North West Persian village rug from the Greater Hamadan Region with a Sarouk style design.

Circa 1900.

This is an interesting rug with a typical large scale floral design found most commonly on Sarouk carpets. The rug also has a Sarouk colour palette with soft red and beautiful blues.

The border has a well-drawn floral design in deep indigo which contrasts well with the soft red field colour. The rug is of a unusual almost square shape.

The rug is in good condition with slight wear and good pile. The rug is suitable for normal domestic use.

The rug has been hand washed and is ready for use or display.
