Antique South West Persian rug with tribal design, Shiraz region, probably by settled weavers from the Khamseh or Qashqai tribe.

Circa 1900

A good rug with triple medallion, the rug contains many tribal design elements. The rug has excellent soft wool, excellent dark indigo ground, the use of ivory gives the rug a light feel.

Very good condition with very slight even wear and good pile. The wool is very soft and glossy.

Hand washed and ready for use.

An excellent furnishing rug suitable for normal domestic use.
