Antique South West Persian Khamseh Baharlu tribal rug of classic single medallion design.

Circa 1900.

These are one of the less common Khamseh rugs and usually have a single round medallion as per this example. The field design is a variation of the heratti design. The ivory ground star border is of particular note. The overall colour palette is soft and earthy.

The rug is of a very useful size.

The rug is in excellent condition with slight wear and good pile. The wool is superb and very soft.

The rug has been hand washed and is ready for use or display.

The rug is suitable for normal domestic use.
