Old South West Persian Shiraz Region Rug with Tribal Design, Great Condition, Circa 1920.

Description

Size: 7ft 10in x 4ft 11in (240 x 158cm).

Old South West Persian rug with tribal design, Shiraz region, probably by settled weavers from the Khamseh or Qashqai tribe.

Circa 1920

A good rug with triple medallion, the rug contains many tribal design elements. The rug has excellent soft wool and a very pleasing colour palette.

Very good condition with very slight even wear and good pile. The wool is very soft and glossy.

Hand washed and ready for use.

An excellent furnishing rug suitable for normal domestic use.
