Charming Japanese Tokyo School Bronze Bijin And Child By Seiya

As part of our Japanese art collection we are delighted to offer this most charming Tokyo school bronze okimono , the artist captures an everyday scene of a mother with child , in this particular study the female carries a kettle and ladle in one hand and the infant on her back , she appears to be reaching out to tend her hair as the cheeky little chap has attempted to pull the hair pin from her meticulous locks , a very well drawn Tokyo school okimono with a nice crisp seal signature to the base that reads GENRYUSAI SEIYA .
 
The condition is lovely and original with a great patination throughout .
