Mersham Manor Antiques has dated this piece to the 1890s.
c1890.
This pretty wardrobe is made of Satin Walnut.
To the top is a shaped pediment, having a central carved shell motif, over a moulded cornice.
The doors opens to reveal a hanging space, with a long wooden hanging rail, and original hanging hooks to the back. and sides.

To the base are two deep drawers.
Standing on a plinth base.
The wardrobe has very pretty Art Nouveau design locks and handles.
The condition overall is very good antique condition, with minor expected general signs of age and use. There are two knocks to each front corners of the cornice, with some small loss to the wood, this is shown in the pictures. The mirrors each have some signs of age, having a few age spots, but are still very useable.

The wardrobe breaks down into three sections. The cornice lifts off, the main body lifts off leaving the drawer section separate. The shaped pediment could be removed from the cornice if required.
Very solid sturdy and strong.

Would make a perfect child`s wardrobe, as the depth is fairly slender, so ideal for smaller hangers.
