Fine Part-silk Isfahan Rug Central Persia

1920 - 1940
Description

This is a very fine Isfahan rug from Central Persia which dates from the early 20th century. The carpet is woven on silk in very fine wool and has a very intricate and detailed design of scrolling vines within an indigo field centred by a pretty medallion and framed by spandrels and deep borders. It is in excellent condition throughout and measures 94cm by 62cm.

Rams Head Antiques is a family business based in Wolsingham in Weardale where we have had shop premises for 28 years. The shop is generally open every Saturday from 11 am till 3 pm.
