Size: 6ft 6in x 4ft 4in (199 x 132cm).

Antique rug from the Greater Hamadan region of North West Persia, with an unusual design and very wide border.

Circa 1920.

The design is most unusual, with the large central medallion that is said to represent an animals pelt. The beautifully drawn wide border sets this rug apart from most others from this region.

The colours throughout the rug clear and bright with wonderful blues.

The rug is in excellent condition with even wear and medium pile.

The rug is suitable for normal domestic use.

The rug has been hand washed and is ready for use.
