Antique Caucasian Shirvan runner from the South Eastern Caucasus.

Circa 1890.

A very good example of a Shirvan runner or long rug, fine weave and outstanding colours. The field is a repeat medallion design surrounded by an exceptionally well drawn star border.

The rug is in excellent condition with slight even wear and good pile. There is slight corrosion to the blacks.

The rug is suitable for normal domestic use.

The rug has been hand washed and is ready for use or display.
