This is a rare and noble carpet with a known history with the same family dating back to 1880 when it was specially commissioned for the living room of the families country manor house in the West of England. This is the reason for the very unusual size, being very long and slightly narrower than one would expect. The carpet has spent the last year in Turkey being restored to its former glory.
The carpet is of really outstanding design, the colours give the carpet a very light feel, the soft blue field and pastel design make this carpet a designers dream.
The carpet is in excellent condition with even wear and good pile.
The carpet has been hand washed and ready for use or display.
The carpet is suitable for normal domestic floor use.
