This rare oak bed simply oozes character. The headboard has four panels, with carved moulded decoration to each panel.
The footboard has chunky posts, topped with delightful turned capitals.
The head and footboard each have pierced holes, which would have been originally for rope webbing.
Still having the matching bed base, from the same period. We would be happy to add custom made wooden bed slats if required.
The colour is delightful, a rich, warm and glowing patina, very tactile, oozes character.
The condition is very good, having general signs of use consistent with age.
Very heavy, solid, sturdy and strong.

The bed fits a standard UK double 4ft 6" mattress.
