The Vintage Interiors has dated this piece to the 1880s.
The washstand comprises of a large walnut commode chest with 2 small drawers over three large ones.
The drawers have turned and fluted columns either side.
The chest stands on solid walnut turned feet and has wonderful moulded skirting detailing.
The washstand has an inverted breakfront marble top with a marble backsplash, shelf and returns.
The back has small shelves and original turned finials.
The washstand still has the solid brass fretted candle holders which are a lovely feature and enhance the charm of this unusual french antique.
