Description

Circa 1920, unusual elm root kidney shaped dressing table, with an oval framed mirror with a casting on the top and bevelled edge glass. On each of side of the mirror is a solid section following the form of the base, which is unusual and quite stylish, and brass mounted sconces. The surface burr elm veneers have wonderful figuration and there is boxwood, satinwood and ebony inlay around the edge. Beneath this is a concave single drawer and rounded sections each side. All standing on 4 turned and tapering legs with ormolu mounts at the top and finishing in brass cups.

Size 146cm high (74.5cm to surface) x 98cm wide x 55cm deep.
