Persian Carpet, 17th Century Shrub Design. C.1900

Description

This is a stunning Persian carpet dating from the early 20th century, hand-knotted with a wonderful 17th century style Persian shrub design. The apple green field with its one way shrub pattern is enclosed by coral pink meandering vine borders. There are a couple of very small patches of wear to the centre but these are only visible upon very close inspection, other than this the carpet is in superb condition and is a good room size measuring 323cms by 197cms.

Rams Head Antiques is a family business based in Wolsingham in Weardale where we have had shop premises for 28 years. The shop is generally open every Saturday from 11 am till 3 pm.
