Turkish Hand Woven Karapinar Rug, Lozenge Design

1900 - 1920
Description

This is a really lovely soft Karapinar rug with a deep pile. The carpet of floral design, has central lozenges enclosed by serrated borders set against an abrashed soft grey field. It has stylised flowers in poppy red, lush green and a deep indigo border. The rug is in excellent order throughout and is a substantial size, measuring 300cms by 130cms.

Rams Head Antiques is a family business based in Wolsingham in Weardale where we have had shop premises for 28 years. The shop is generally open every Saturday from 11 am till 3 pm.
