Japanese Parcel Gilt Bronze Miyao Figure

Description

As part of our oriental collection we are delighted to offer this fine quality Japanese gilt bronze figure by the leading Meiji period bronze artist Miyao Eisuke , this great little bronze on its original gold lacquer decorated stand simply depicts a character dressed in a brightly gilded robe whilst sweeping the floor , typical of everyday life of the period and probably no different today, a great quality bronze signed Miyao in a gilt seal to the rear.

The condition is lovely with minimal age related wear.
