Description

Size: 4ft 11in x 4ft 1in (149 x 124cm).

Antique Tekke Turkmen ensi of traditional design with excellent colour.

Circa 1900.

Ensi were door hangings used to cover the entrance to a yurt.

This example is finely woven with excellent detailed drawing; it retains the original kilim end finishes at both ends.

The rug is in excellent condition with only slight even wear and good pile.

The rug has been hand washed and is ready for use or display, the rug is suitable for normal domestic use.
