A Small Regency Dressing Table

19th century
Description

A highly unusual small mahogany ladies dressing table from the Regency period. Slender tapered legs supporting a faux drawer section with twin lift up lids revealing a part sectioned interior. The lids are lockable with a working key original lock and ivory escutcheon. A swing toilet mirror with adjustable brass mounts and finials is above.

The upper section is boxwood and ebony strung. The veneer to the right hand lid has had a repair and has been cracked but is now in good order.

58 cms wide by 31 cms deep and 75 cms high to the table top and 108 to the top of the mirror.
