The headboard has the most delightful cresting, having figural carvings, depicting reclining musicians, flanking a central roundel.
Below the cresting is a carved rail with pretty floral motifs, flanked by fluted and turned supports, topped with turned urn finials.
The highly elaborate carving continues to the footboard, having two boldly carved panels, again depicting musicians against a charming stone wall, with flowers and foliage. With floral carved rail to the top and below. With fluted and turned supports.
A lovely, very striking antique double bed of excellent quality.
Requires a standard UK double 4ft6" mattress.
The bed has metal side rails, with a custom made pine slatted base.
Very sturdy, solid and strong.
In excellent condition, general but minimal signs of age and use.
Completely dismantles-headboard-footboard-two side rails-the slatted base is in two sections.
