Size: 9ft 6in x 8ft 2in (290 x 248cm).

Old Turkish Sharkoy kilim, with a small scale design on a soft red ground.

About 60 years old.

The border colour and design is most unusual.

Sharkoy kilims are also known as Sarkoy or Thracian, they originate from Western Turkey or the region known as European Turkey or The Balkans.

The weave is very tight and fine, the design is typical of the region, note the very unusual and striking border.

The kilim is in excellent condition with very slight wear.

The kilim is suitable for normal domestic use.

The kilim has been hand washed and is ready for use or display.
