Driscolls Antiques Ltd has dated this piece to the 1880s.
It has the original tilting mirror (slight foxing evident) which is supported by reeded upright supports having turned finials. An attractive shaped up-stand sits on the rectangular top which has a moulded edge and is beautifully figured. Below this a single drawer over knee hole and a right hand pedestal with four graduating drawers all with moulded edges and ornate brass handles. The sides of the table have reeded panels and it sits on turned feet with black porcelain castors. The piece is of fabulous quality and benefits from a matching wardrobe (sold separately ref:04781). It is a lovely warm shade of oak with a striking grain, good patina, is in very good condition and has been beautifully cleaned using a traditional form of wax finishing.
