Fine Quality Japanese Silvered Okimono on Stand - Signed

1900 - 1920
Description

As part of our oriental collection we are pleased to offer this fine Japanese silvered okimono of a peasant farmer or trader, he is captured in traditional dress carrying a pipe in his left hand and his tobacco pouch in the other, over his shoulder is a basket full of his wares , the okimono is a one piece casting with the benefit of a wooden stand and a nice signature seal to the underside .

The condition is lovely and original , we have decided to leave the silver unpolished however if you chose to get out the silver cleaner i am confident he would gleam like new ,i will describe as minor wear !!
