Description

We are pleased to offer this fine and heavy quality Victorian bronze on an associated marble plinth base, this fine bearded nobleman or saintly figure is seated wearing a flowing gown and holding a large book in his left hand whilst resting his right hand on a very large wavy edged sword, we do not know who the character is but he is clearly of some historical importance.

The condition of the bronze is magnificent and may have originally sat on a large black marble plinth however today he sits on a later associated but perfectly adequate marble base, there is no signature but there is a number stamped to the rear "3038", the bronze and base weight a combined 20 kg.
