Superb 19th Century Japanese Bronze Elephant Signed

Description

As part of our oriental collection we are pleased to be able to offer this superb quality Japanese bronze Meiji period elephant ,stood in a roaming stance his trunk swishing to his left between his large bronze tusks .

The detail is great and everything you would expect from a 19th century Japanese bronze , he is totally original and untouched for many years , we have decided to leave him as we found him although he may benefit from a light clean , signed in a seal on his underside he is ready to join your herd or start a new one !

Height 7" 17.5 cm

Length 11" 28 cm

Weight is a hefty 2.236 kg
