Description

Kershaw Schofield (1872-1941) was a painter of oils and watercolours who worked mostly around the Yorkshire Dales and coast.

He lived in the Bradford area and exhibited his pictures widely at galleries including Birmingham. Liverpool, Manchester and the Royal Academy.

"THE OLD CART SHED" is a very fine example of Schofield's work. It is an oil on canvas measuring 20"x 30" and is signed lower right. It is in excellent unrestored condition and is contained in a good period gilt frame.
