Huge Japanese Bronze Elephant Signed Meiji Period 1868-1912

1900 - 1920
Description

As part of our oriental collection we are pleased to be able to offer this quite superb very large Japanese bronze elephant, the elephant arrived this week from the family who have owned him since 1904 when he was given as a wedding present to the grandparents , this ties in perfectly with his age and quality being late Meiji period.

He is a real big old tusker with a huge girth , he weighs approx 24lbs (over 10kg) and came to us as a result of the current owners emigrating , we believe he is known as BUNJO !

His condition is lovely , untouched for about 110yrs and exactly as you would wish to find him .

Does anyone want to give him a new home ?
