As part of our oriental collection we are delighted to offer this fantastic quality Japanese bronze group of tigers by arguably one of the greatest Japanese bronze animalier "GENRYUSAI SEIYA".

The group together with its original hardwood base depicts a tiger and its young cub resting on a rocky outcrop besides a stream , the adult tiger drinking from a swirling pool as its young cub stands watching , this stance is so lifelike with the detail so superbly chiselled , the stripes on the tigers have been highlighted in a different shade of bronze with fine chiselling of the coat giving the animal its superb sleek looks , it is as if the artist were sat there , quite amazing !!

The condition of the bronze is absolutely stunning , the hardwood base has faded around the shape of the bronze telling me how many decades it has been sat together , just great to see !!
