Impressive Victorian Walnut Duchess Dressing Table

19th century
Description

This is a very grand larger than usual gorgeous figured walnut duchess dressing table smothered in top quality walnut veneers , the dressing table sits on its original casters for ease of movement , the walnut veneered undertier gives rise to a pair of substantial carved and turned front pillars supporting the matching veneered shaped top complete with two concealed bow fronted frieze drawers , the top supports the pair of ornate mirrored boxes with more drawer space and arms rising to support the shaped swing mirror .

This is about as good as these type of dressing tables get , usually finished in plain mahogany this one definatly gets the edge with its use of figured and burr veneers throughout , the condition is ready for immediate delivery having been sympathetically re-polished and lightly restored back to its former glory, its a rare find today !!
