Description**
This handsome pair of French Louis XVI revival beds displays the refined architectural design and decorative elegance associated with 19th-century French cabinetmaking.
Each bed incorporates a beautifully figured mahogany headboard with an elegant arched crest, enclosed by contrasting dark borders and fine gilt-metal mouldings.

The substantial footboards are decorated with rectangular mahogany panels, enclosed within gilt mouldings and embellished with four classical gilt rosettes.
Particularly distinctive are the finely fluted column supports, surmounted by ornate gilt capitals and decorative finials.

The beds stand upon turned feet terminating in gilt-metal sabots, while matching side rails complete the elegant neoclassical composition.
The warm reddish-brown mahogany, contrasting ebony-coloured detailing and gilt mounts create a sophisticated decorative appearance.

The beds have sectional construction, allowing their principal components to be separated for transportation.
A particularly attractive matched pair, ideally suited to an elegant guest bedroom, country house, period residence or luxury interior.
