The Vintage Wrist Watch Company has dated this 1950s Smiths Pocket Watch to the 1950s.
This is an independent date report produced by Sellingantiques using its own proprietary system. The process uses the photographs shown on this page. The system is never told the date the dealer has declared. This report shows that the two dates corroborate.
The watch has a 15-jewel stem-winding movement, stamped Made in England, which is working nicely.
The watch measures 50mm diameter excluding the winding stem and the loop.
The name is derived from cupronickel, an alloy primarily made of copper blended with nickel, giving the metal a brilliant, bright silver, stainless-look finish. The case is in good condition, just a slight indentation to the back.

The acrylic lens is in good condition.
The dial is in its original painted finish with blued steel hands, a subsidiary seconds dial and outer minute track. The dial is creamier in colour in real life but the camera is struggling to pick it up.
The watch comes in a new presentation box.
