The artist has captured the delicate beauty of the flowers through wonderfully soft, expressive brushwork, combining gentle shades of ivory, pale yellow, blush pink and rich crimson with the deep natural greens of the foliage.
Beneath the inscription is the artist's original signature, together with the date 1910.
The work is housed within a beautiful quality (later) giltwood-style frame, featuring a broad stepped outer moulding and delicately decorated inner border.
The warm golden finish complements the soft floral colours wonderfully, giving the painting a refined and elegant appearance.
