This late Victorian oak bowfront dresser stands 184 cm high, 142 cm wide, and 53 cm deep, separating into two sections for transport. The dark brown timber exhibits a polished finish across its open display shelves, central upper cupboard, and lower double-door cabinet. Traditional Green Man carvings decorate the three cupboard doors, accompanied by turned columns, intricate mouldings, brass hardware, and curved cabriole legs. Practical for everyday use, the lower cabinets and upper shelves provide extensive storage and display space for tableware and decorative items. It fits naturally into a dining room, kitchen, or country interior, bringing period character and functional storage to a contemporary home.

A Green Man carved oak dresser is a traditional British storage piece featuring folklore-inspired foliate face carvings, originating prominently during the Victorian Renaissance Revival movement.

Victorian dressers were typically constructed from solid oak, walnut, or mahogany, using mortise and tenon joinery alongside hand-carved decorative panels and iron or brass hardware.

Authentic late Victorian pieces display detailed wood carvings, natural timber grain variation, quarter-sawn oak backboard construction, and age-consistent wear around handles and hinges.

A carved oak dresser functions as a focal storage piece in modern dining rooms or kitchens when paired with neutral wall palettes and minimalist ceramics to balance the detailed woodwork.

Clean the surface regularly with a dry lint-free cloth and apply high-grade beeswax polish periodically along the wood grain, avoiding water and harsh chemical sprays.
