Canonbury Antiques has dated this Dutch Maritime Oil Painting to the 1910s.
Circa 1910 and in wonderful condition

A ruined coastal fortification on the left provides an architectural focal point, while the warm, atmospheric light reflected across the still water creates a tranquil and highly decorative effect
The artist has paid particular attention to the rigging and varied sail configurations of the vessels, lending authenticity to the maritime subject. The restrained palette of soft blues, ochres and olive greens, combined with the dramatic cloud formations, recalls the work of 17th-century Dutch masters such as Willem van de Velde or Ludolf Bakhuizen, although this example is likely a later homage dating from around 1880–1900

The painting is housed in a simple gilt frame that complements its classical character
A timeless decorative marine painting, this piece would work beautifully in a library, drawing room or coastal home, offering the enduring appeal of traditional Dutch seascapes with their combination of technical precision, atmospheric lighting and peaceful nautical charm
