Set of 3 Antique Philip Boileau Edwardian Lady Portrait Prints, Dated 1905

Brief Description:

A wonderful matching set of three original early 20th-century Edwardian colour portrait prints after the celebrated French-born American illustrator Philip Boileau (1864–1917), each bearing the artist's signature and dated 1905.

Dating to the Edwardian period, these beautiful portraits depict three elegant young ladies wearing fashionable clothing and elaborate hairstyles, wonderfully capturing the romance, sophistication and distinctive feminine beauty of the era.

Each portrait is individually composed, with the artist's delicate handling of colour, expressive facial features and beautifully rendered clothing giving the collection a wonderful sense of character and charm.

The first depicts an elegant young lady with an elaborate hairstyle adorned with yellow flowers, holding a magnificent bouquet of golden chrysanthemums.

The second portrays a beautiful dark-haired lady wearing a yellow garment with black detailing, her face resting thoughtfully against her hand.

The third depicts a fashionable young lady wearing an elaborate black hat and delicate blue scarf, holding a beautiful bouquet of blue and purple flowers.
