Gents 1950s Smiths De Luxe Wrist Watch

Description

Gents 1950s Smiths De Luxe wrist watch.

The watch has a 15-jewel hand-winding movement, stamped Made in England, which is working nicely. The movement is protected by an inner cruciform cover.

The watch measures 33mm diameter excluding the winding crown and the lugs. The Dennison Aquatite case was chromium plated but most of this has worn off. Stainless steel screw-on case back.

The lens is in lovely condition (some natural light reflection showing on the second photo).

The signed "waffle" dial is in its original finish, it has darkened a shade or two but still very easy to read the time. Original hands, subsidiary seconds dial and outer minute markers.

A new leather strap has been fitted.

The watch comes in a new presentation box.

We are an on-line only business and do not have facilities for callers. Our offices are open from Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm.

With regards to appraisals / valuations, we receive a huge number of information requests each day and unfortunately do not have the manpower to deal with them all individually. Our advice would be to contact a local auctioneer for a full appraisal.
