Description

A large 18th century mahogany sideboard or bank of drawers, dating to circa 1750. Beautifully made in rich, mahogany, with a shaped upstand, elegant ogee feet, and decorative inlaid detail.

The piece comprises eight drawers, with the lower central drawer cleverly constructed as one deep drawer but designed to appear as two, providing particularly useful storage. It retains its original brass handles, together with a key. The drawers are well proportioned and the mahogany has developed an attractive colour and patina consistent with age.

Presented in good condition, with expected signs of age and use, this is an impressive and practical example of 18th-century English furniture.
