Antique 19th century French wardrobe in walnut, a wonderfully imposing piece with lavish carving and a strong, substantial presence.

Well made and of good quality, it has the decorative richness and craftsmanship that make French furniture of this period so sought after. The two carved doors are framed by beautifully turned pillars to the sides and centre, creating an impressive architectural front. Opening the doors reveals a single internal shelf, providing useful storage while retaining the wardrobe’s clean, traditional interior. Two small drawers are fitted to the lower section, adding convenient space for smaller clothing items or accessories.

Heavy carving decorates the piece throughout, giving it depth, texture and a distinctive appearance from every angle. The walnut has a gorgeous rich colour with attractive natural grain, which beautifully enhances the carved details.
